Selection guide
Horizontal roll handling is for compatible cylindrical rolls that should remain horizontal while being supported, transferred, height-adjusted or positioned at a machine. Confirm the support interface, roll dimensions, centre of gravity and hand-off height before choosing a configuration.
Assisted handling is appropriate where a person can push the equipment nearby on a clear, flat floor; the handling function may still be powered.
For longer workshop movement, high frequency or slopes, select powered travel only after traction, braking, parking, duty cycle and route conditions are verified.
Remote operation can be evaluated where work is hazardous, enclosed, unusually hot or cold, or requires central supervision and defined emergency safeguards.
Power choice: battery supports flexible short routes in non-hazardous areas; tethered cable can suit a close, fixed transfer path and some crane-replacement tasks; generator-assisted power may be assessed beyond about 500 m. Hazardous-area suitability requires a complete certified solution.
