Keep the roll in the orientation the process needs.
Some workflows need a roll to stay horizontal during lifting or transfer. Support geometry, access near the machine and the final positioning height influence the handling method.
Before selecting equipment or materials
Match the material, the operation and the site—not just a catalogue label. Use the checks below to describe the actual task.
Roll weight, width and outside diameter.
How the roll is carried and released at each end of the task.
Required lifting height and available space around the machine.
Two actual product configurations.
The current horizontal roll series contains a manual hydraulic vehicle and a semi-electric lift truck. The semi-electric configuration uses powered lifting with manual positioning. The related operation clip illustrates a movement; it is not a photograph or specification of an additional fully automatic model.
When should we consider a horizontal roll lifter instead of a rotating clamp?
Compare the task first. A horizontal lifter supports a roll that needs to remain horizontal; a rotating clamp addresses suitable cylindrical loads requiring clamping and orientation change. Final selection depends on the roll and the machine interface.
